In fact most walk up to a audio company (bose, Harmony, jbl or other) and say you have a X amount of time with this car we don't care just get it done. The reason that the mfgrs put in audio junk is that the VAST majority of people simply DO NOT GIVE A CRAP about high qualiy audio in their cars. Whether they have crap for stereo or the most sublime audio experience in the world is simply NOT going to drive car sales. People will buy the car whether it has a crappy stereo or a great one. More power to the audiophiles like you in the aftermarket segment, buy you will always be a niche player. If great audio was more important than that in the 370 car-buying segment then the car mfgrs would up their game.
