factory navigation has just about always seemed like a big rip since at least the Pioneer AVIC's hit. I knew that going in, of course, but would have hoped the Nismo Tech would have been more GTR multi-function display with more performance parameters than just multi-media and nav that it is. Include Navigation to be complete perhaps for those who don't have smartphones or whatever, but going forward, should be an option to mirror the phone display & use Google or Waze or if some poor fool is feeling brave, Apple Maps.
XM is right up there on the rip/sub model. Rear visibility is so limited that even without laws requiring it, backup cameras should've be standard on all but the basic trim anyway.
The biggest disappointment is that it's the last gen system instead of one of the NissanConnect things that would let you use some mobile functionality/app support. Regular Nismo 6MT are much fewer and farther in between than the Nismo Tech which tells you how the margins are and where they're getting their money.
As far as Apple, I much prefer Android though will go to something else if it should better. Nissan should stay agnostic and set to a standard (MirrorLink for example) that is not just Android. Apple has a contempt for their mobile user base they used to not have for their computer buyers but I am not fond of Siri. What they do tends to work well but only within the rather narrow scope of what they intend you to do. There is jailbreak, of course...
