A vehicle with a sunroof loses some of the characteristics of handling. Remember the Mitsubishi Evo's, there was a base model that had no power windows, no HID, no A/C and no sunroof to mention a few. The reason for the sunroof (or lack of) was to make it lighter and more rigid.
With a sunroof the chassis has a tendency to twist more than normal and the extra weight of the glass and the motors can hurt the center of gravity thus affecting handling characteristics.
I have a Venza with a panoramic view glass and whenever I go over uneven surfaces or into my driveway I can hear the chassis "twitching". I have driven the same vehicle minus the panoramic view and the chassis feels "stiffer".
A sunroof or T-tops creates a "weaker" chassis sort of speak. Plus adding a sunroof can add at least 35 lbs. to the vehicle.
