Hey guys hows it going? I have noticed there is no 350z thread here so please bare with me. I own a 2005 Nissan 350z and have just installed the JWT clutch and flywheel combo (pivot ball, ss clutch line and Nismo roller bearing) Thanks to Kyle from Import Parts Pro for a great deal. Anyway my mechanic changed everything but the ss line, I asked him why? He replied he did not want any dirt debris getting into the clutch slave cylinder or maybe he just did not want to bleed anything out. My first question is after a high performance clutch and flywheel setup is it highly recommended that the ss line be changed? I ask this because I notice that when I depress the clutch it feels almost stock OEM, the clutch pedal feels soft. I know that the clutch pedal should feel harder and more stiff and defiantly give a decent leg workout to the left leg. Another thing I noticed was the chatter, rattle whatever you want to call it in idle and only 2nd and 3rd gear around 2000 rpm range, but after doing some research I found out that the chatter is normal and the youtube video I saw the noise was exactly the same, I just hope after breaking it in some more that it should quiet down but who knows. My 2nd question is for how long must I drive nice and normal switching gears at 2500 rpm before I can really let her unleash to full potential because I know I got to take it easy for the break in period. 500 miles, 1000 miles? So those are my 2 questions, once again I apologize for posting this at the 370z forum here but this is the only forum I am on right now, I was thinking of upgrading to a 370z eventually but the more money I dump in the 350z the harder it is for me to let it go. Anyway thanks for any info, my main concern is the ss line, is the stock one fine with the setup I have or have my mechanic change it anyway
Thank you again!
