The Club basically is a visual deterrent only. If someone really wanted your car they can just cut the steering wheel.

The thing about cars these days though is the technology is getting to a point where you can't hotwire a car, the computer won't let the engine start without the key, and if it's a push button start, it's practically impossible without the keyfob. What you can do is get a flatbed truck and just drag it away, the alarm blaring and all.

A push button start is a nightmare to a thief.

I once had a version of the club in the one that connects to your brake pedal. You may start the car but you can't get it out of park without pressing the brake, and yea the brake pedal is by law made out of steel and the position of the brake lock is awkward to a thief, you are super exposed having the door open and you sticking out to try and get it free.

Never had an attempted theft but then again it was a cheap Chevy Aveo so even I wouldn't steal it haha. My BRZ has push button so no anti theft device necessary.
