I actually found out why it wasnt catching. The white plastic piece on back of kick panel is shredded somehow. Must have messed it up pulling it off. Removed the messed up plastic and the kick panel now sits tight.
Going to have to order another piece now. Good thing it just slides in/out.
hahaha, i didnt look that deep right now, but i dont remember my add-a-circuit having issues fitting into that slot so probably no?

or try something like this, and just bend it 90 degrees. amazon has it
