Any 3M product at that price is too much. Also he should cut it himself with a machine or custom cut it, if he buys it pre-cut, it won't protect as much area because they leave a margin for error in installing and the gaps are bigger. If you're paying that much to protect your car, it better cover everything.

800$ for the hood? Really? My seibon vs11 hood was only 800 and some change shipped. That's crazy
