Drove to church, drove home, drove to store ... um ... polar route. About an hour later I finally reached the store. Bought ham, potatoes, for dinner.

Interesting thing. Somebody asked the question, I think it was Eastwest2300, about gas mileage for the Z. That 35 mile trip to the store, I decided to hyper mile. Granted it was a short run and I reset the values while doing 40 down the road, and it really was ideal conditions, relatively flat etc. but, there were numerous full stops along the way. I was surprised that if you really hypermile the thing, you can get amazing mileage. Following all speed limits (the most was 50 for a short stretch), coasting to red lights and stop signs, coasting down hills, shifting at or below 2500 rpm, staying in 6th as much as possible, down to around 1500 rpm. The pic shows the average. The highest that showed was 30.8. This number was at the end of the trip.

Oh ... and um ... pissing off absolutely everybody that is behind me.
