I've made do with the spacer since 2009 - I run R-Spec tyres on the track and have done a couple of 1-hour events and (knock-on-wood and whistle) have not yet suffered oil surge

Given your recent engine history, your choices are an accumulator or full 9-yards and go dry-sump, unless you still want to keep the car sale-able, in which case go with a spacer and accumulator (dry sump implies front timing cover mods I suspect - Brian at Valkyrie can tell you all about it).

The reason I suggest a spacer is not an anti-surge matter but simply more oil in the engine equals better control of temperatures.
