I attempted to reply a few times and kept deleting them. I just couldn't figure out how things got messed up. I think you just got your answer.
I agree with the above.....you probably need to pull the arm, reset the adjusters and start over. Make sure the guy understands how to adjust them this time around. I wouldn't think you'd want to unbolt any part of it once installed.
