I'm not seeing where there's an overall consumer cost increase caused by using BW turbos as opposed to Garrett.

See your point. The amount of money you lose by selling a pre owned GTM kit you would lose anyways when spending extra on the GTX upgrade.
Personally rather just a few modifications and GTX upgrade then to remove the entire kit and finding a buyer for it.
GTX and AMM turbos are a good choice. It all depends on goals and budget.
BTW that's 609whp @ 9 PSI with GTX.
