Agreed. The setup in my Z33 was a single 10W3v2 and a 200W Alpine. The sub was mounted in the stock Bose location. Bass was tight and provided punchy kicks for classic songs as well as deep bass (as deep a 10" could produce) for hip hop and electronica.

For the Z34, I'm looking for something different without going overboard with the budget (minus the HU haha). I'm going to give eD a shot, so I bought a matching pair of NINE.2 through this deal. One will power the front components, and the other will be bridged to power a single sub. I would also like to drop in a 12" sub since I've had a 10" in my car since high school (well, 15" Kicker classic at one time... overkill). It'll be an eD sub as well just to match things up. Plus, it'll be something totally new and drastic from my JL/Alpine days.

For the headunit, it'll be the Kenwood DDX812/814. It has great audio adjustments including 13-band EQ and crossover.
