I'm surprised to hear that the Camaro feels faster than the 370.
My current car is a base 2006 350Z 6MT, and previously drove a 1997 Camaro Z28 6 speed (however not an SS).
While without question my Camaro had much more low end torque, the 350 has much better top end, and subjectively at least, I have always felt that acceleration was about the same overall.
