The Z won the award for JD Power Best Initial Quality, so we have a well-built car (initially anyway).
Interesting you say the 2000 Camaro SS pulled harder and was faster than our Z. Looking at the specs, they list a 0-60 time of 5.3s, 1/4 mile of 13.7. That's on par or slower than the Z. Another site listed a 2000 Z28 running a 1/4 mile in 12.9 @ 110mph. Maybe the V8 roar made it feel faster?
