The material warranties span from 1-5 years. That covers basic adhesion and color control. Road debris would be no different than it hitting paint, except the film will absorb most debris without issue. Paint will scratch.
Paint protection films can be applied to wraps without much issue. Also, PPF is anywhere from 5-6mil in thickness, we wrap the front fascia at least to 5mil (multiple layers of films) to ensure your OEM paint will not get touched outside of debris that would really cause serious damage.
for reference, the car I drive daily has put on 30k miles since I installed her skin. It has chips, but you have to get up on it to see them, and they were caused by debris that also left tons of chips in my windshield. When I pull my vinyl off, the paint will be untouched and ready for a new color.
