You should just get a Stillen lic plate holder for the front and be compliant.
Accept your on his radar and unless you're going to lawyer up? Move on no reason to make it more than it is unless you have plenty of $$$.

Yeah, I guess I don't really have a choice.
I did turn in an appeal form with reasons why it would be legal according the the law, will have to wait two more weeks to find out!

5201. (a) License plates shall at all times be securely fastened to
the vehicle for which they are issued so as to prevent the plates
from swinging, shall be mounted in a position so as to be clearly
visible, and so that the characters are upright and display from left
to right, and shall be maintained in a condition so as to be clearly
legible. The rear license plate shall be mounted not less than 12
inches nor more than 60 inches from the ground, and the front license
plate shall be mounted not more than 60 inches from the ground...
Other than that, what has he actually written you up for?

cvc. 5200 (correction required) - comment: missing front plate. The funny part is, they give tickets for missing parking permit, so he obviously saw my "front" plate (which is directly above my permit).
His wife wanted it! I only provided my services.

The campus police over here literally have nothing to do, I guess.

I'm not part of this system! But yeah, I believe you're right though. Guess I'll just have to pay the $20 fine and get it installed in the front again. But first, I want to see if my appeal form holds up.

LOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL... Sure... If that was the case every cop should sit on the border of AZ and nail every guy with tint.

The cops should be worrying about other things than giving people tickets for missing front license plates
