I don't think there has been any claims that it sits higher.
It sits at the same height as the lowest point of the car. The only difference is that the lowest point of the exhaust is in a different location (relative to where the wheels raise or lower the car when going over bumps), which makes more prone to scraping when lowered.
I am pretty sure no one scraped an FI exhaust at stock height (unless they did something that is not recommended when going over a bump).
