I agree they should be funny. But where is that a rule? Obviously, people don't want funny any more. Otherwise, there would have been more funny ads

The whole idea of advertising in today's society sickens me. To misrepresent a product in order to maximize sales and profits And the fact that the general public is so predictable that marketing in this fashion actually works is even more sickening. I'll be honest, I fast forwarded through the commercials whenever my wife wasn't watching with me. I hear about the funny ones later and watch them individually.
