Those rubber strap wrenches are junk!! They almost never work on anything. Try the old belt trick. You wan tot try and find yourself one of those belts with a roller on the end (not like my beat up one shown in pic). Then place a nice sturdy bar, wood, or even clamp it with a wrench when the drum stick is. Strap it nice and taught before applying the pressure to twist the knob off. A cheap belt cost like $8 at Wally mart.


in this pic, you will hold the strap tight to the stick and pull it upwards to tighten and twist off whatever object. Of course, the longer the stick, the more leverage given that the belt don't slip.
