Agreed. I had a small nick in my windshield and my insurance covered the repair at no cost. Even sent someone (Safelite probably) to my office to take care of it in the parking lot. I think my insurance company saw it as preventive maintenance - cheaper to fix before it became a big issue and they had to pay for a new windshield. I can't even tell where the nick is after they fixed it.
