There is more than one "service engine" indicator. One means something's wrong (you'll need an OBD scanner to get the code), another means you're at the configured interval for oils change/&c (no OBD code thrown, so scanner won't tell you anything).

The bump in idle speed may be due to dirty MAFs. Cleaning them is an easy DIY.
