go and buy a single long extension, an impact one if the budget allows. Less joints = less slop = less wasted sweat.

The crank sensor is notorious for making your arms look like an emo kid's. it's the coarse finish on the side of the gearbox that munches up your arms. I have small arms and even then it's a struggle. The only way i've done it before is from the bottom. It's too far down to reach from the top. What i do is work blind and fit the socket on the bolt head, then jam a stubby ratchet on. much easier instead of wasting extra energy trying not to drop a ratchet in your face!
