I tried the stock locations initially, and was not happy with them there. I ended up placing them low in the door panels, just above the woofers. Active processing is a wonderful thing....... I eventually added a second set up on my a-pillars to raise the stage even further, with great success, but I am a bit anal when it comes to the soundstage, and regularly compete with the car, so it was a necessary evil for me.
