In addition to stock sizes, I've run 255/285, 265/285, and 265/305 all on the stock sport rims. You're not going to notice a bit of difference unless you are driving the car hard at an auto-x or at the track. And at that level, the type of tire you are using makes way more difference than the sizing. Hell, even street driving the tire is going to make a more noticeable difference than a minimal change in sizing. I usually have my tire picked out but pick sizing based on my budget at the time they need replacement. If tracking or auto-x it's all about performance, so I would want to evaluate various combinations myself in those environments.
