My buddy says the D750 should be the ticket here. But I'm obsessed with overkill and I believe the 810 would be serious overkill for my use.

Anyone with experience on one, the other or both? Care to chime in?
The IQ between the 3 full frame Nikons is going to be minimal and barely noticeable and the extra megapixels is kind of a disputed area as far as whether it really matters or not, with some pros saying 22-25 MP on full frame is more than enough. The 810 has 36MP I believe. So you gotta take that with a grain of salt, especially if your not selling prints, it may not be beneficial to you. I tend to look at it this way, the 750 will probably give most people more than they need performance wise and even at the entry-pro level making the price difference between the 2 hard to justify. I hope this helps!
