The S2K
IS lower power (although it does get an amazing amount out of that 2L). Some of that is made up for by lighter weight but the S2K is still a slower straight-line car. But it is also a more nimble car and tons of fun to drive.
Comparing track-modified cars to production models is nothing more than mental masturbation.
You seem to have already made up your mind so bite the bullet, get an S2K, and start having fun.
