What he said. You can actually ride in the wet and at a quick pace, but you shouldn't. Learn your bike like the back of your hand in the dry. Get a feel for how it moves and reacts. Try to avoid rain and wet roads until you get more experience. Take a dirt bike class. A lot of those skills will make you a better street rider.
