I think back to a day in January tis year when the thermometer was at -25 F and the wind chill was -50 F.
Between the hotel lobby and my car (about 70 ft), my hair froze to the hardness of a racing helmet. My steaming hot coffee was cool when I got to the Suburban I rented.
Since then -- I scoff at what Californians call "cold" or 'winter".
