I made a ring around the tire with sound deadener then put a packing blanket over the tire. The sub is suspended over the tire on the insulated panel. The panel is 1/4 inch birch plywood coated in plastidip. The plan is to run the sub under the carpet and padding where it will not be visible or take away storage space. The metal grill over the sub is to protect it and give an air cushion to quell vibration sounds. I have about $70 invested in this subwoofer setup. I already had the sound deadener and the.plastidip, the plywood and packing blanket was less than $10. I still haven't hooked it all up, or worked the bugs out. (There are always bugs with us amateur engineers). I am hoping to run speaker wires and hook up the amp today if family Thanksgiving schedules permit. I will post the success or failure of this system after it is up and running.
Thanks for the interest
