In order to receive any rebates or incentives the rebate must be applied to a VIN number showing on ground on a dealers lot. If there isn't a VIN number or the vehicle is still in transit you cannot post a rebate to it.
Incentives are promotions designed to assist sales during that program period.

Go try to lock in todays mortgage rate on a unbuilt house.

I wouldn't be too worried about it, Nissan didn't incentivize the 350Z for years after its introduction.
