It's not $300 for the kit. It's the amount of tool pieces in the tool kit. It's actually less than $200 to buy. I don't do crazy stuff with my car (relative as I'm going to boost my car). Spending big $$ on hand tools for the amount of things I fix or fiddle with is not justified. YOur like my mechanic buddy. He graduated from tech school and a year later; he bought 10k worth of Snap on in one week. HE is still paying for it I bet. They and Matco are good stuff but my lifetime Craftsman is a safe and affordable bet.
