Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share some of my pictures from SEMA. It is by far my favorite time of the year getting to see my city filled with all these insane cars all over the place. This is by no means a comprehensive post, even in the three days I spent walking around the show I am sure there are plenty of awesome things I missed.
These pictures were taken with my cell phone and are all unedited.. Feel free to follow me on instagram to see more (better quality) pictures @serbanium
These were some of my highlights:
I'll start off with a few 370s.. Some of you have already seen pictures of the red widebody floating around.
Billet370 made the trip from the other side of the country and snagged a pretty good spot.
Love it or hate it.. I think the widebody isn't bad, just looks a little like an unfinished project (base brakes ew, needs head lights, rear bumper/diffuser, etc)
SEMA 2013 was the year of Rocket Bunny / Liberty Walk. 2014 was pretty much the same. Rocket Bunny / Liberty Walk ERRRRYTHANG:
Clean LB 911 Turbo:
Rocket Bunny RC-F - this car had an amazing presence to it.
My two favorite GT-Rs were both black/gold/Rocket Bunnys:
I got very drunk during the unveiling of the Vorsteiner M4. My buddy and I saw a huge crowd forming next to a covered car so we stood by it and kept getting handed glasses of champagne. Three glasses of fizzy alcoholic beverage in a short time on an empty stomach made this my favorite unveiling.
What?! A not Rocket Bunny or LB widebody anything?! Fastes is a Japanese company putting out this super clean 911 widebody kit:
The Trans Am built by the Roadster Shop that melted everyone's face off at the show. The details on this build were insane.
@itswhitenoise brought her 918 Spyder to the HRE booth. Awesome to finally see one of these in person.
I reeeeeeeally liked the FT1. Wish I could have finagled my way into the driver's seat.
A good buddy of mine @gt_theory debuted his new NSX widebody kit - much more subtle than a lot of the stuff at the show and a nice change of pace.
Who else would mob this chrome M4 daily?
Another favorite bunny was this red/gold FD:
Favorite Porsche of the show
THE Aventador everyone was talking about.
Anyone want to guess what this originally started life as? If you guessed G35 coupe you are correct. Seriously.
Seriously geeked out over this thing, especially after being taken for a very smoky, slidey ride by Mr. Vaughn Gitten himself.
Clean Z33... Could not for the life of me get my camera to capture the color properly. Looked really cool in person.
Show car G35. I dug the color scheme.
And the engine bay.
EVO R Jay was displaying both his yellow 370Z (which I didn't get any decent shots of) and his super clean super sick Rocket Bunny FD.
Like I said... Rocket Bunny errrrythang.
People may or may not be getting carried away with this whole over fender craze, but this one stood out to me as a really unique build. The fitment on EVERYTHING was like Audi OEM stuff. Props on the interesting use of camo also.
The only widebody GT-R I could find that was NOT a LB/RB kit..
Oh hai.
Random Z33 Nismo
I would seriously consider buying a targa FR-S as a daily driver if Scion made it..
Super Street's entry into the Scion Tuner Challenge was rocking ITBs and some pretty cool body bits from TRD mixed in with the overfender look.
Speedhunters won the challenge with their entry which, once you see in person, you'd totally understand why it won.
This isn't just an S14 with a clam shell hood and lame graphics. It is hiding a Viper V10 under that hood.
The sun was so bright it was flippin' impossible to get a better shot of the engine bay..
Lingenfelter supercharged LS-whatever, fit 8 people inside comfotably, and haul a TON of crap around. CTS-V wagon's granddaddy.
Speaking of CTS-Vs.... This one was evil. Loved the wastegate setup.
Cleeeeeeean BBI 930 Turbo
I'm not a Honda Fit fan by any stretch, I just liked the matching mini bike and the color scheme.
Forrest Wang's Formula D 2JZ powered S14. Super sick car and super nice guy! Also a Vegas local!
Not usually an Audi guy, but this one was just so damn clean.
Sexy sexy.
The highlight of the show for pretty much everyone was the unveiling of the Hoonicorn RTR..... If you've been living under a rock and haven't seen or heard of this thing yet, it is a '65 Mustang, 845 hp naturally aspirated, AWD (yes, really), and just made of pure insanity. This will be Ken Block's car for Gymkhana 7, coming in a few weeks.
The interior is much more simple than his usual Ford Fiesta rally cars.
Hope you liked the pictures everyone!
