Questions for you, when you reassembled the housing did you clean, I mean CLEAN, the halos really well for grease, grime, oil and microscopic anything. Oil from your fingers combined with heat over time is what might have caused this. This is my best guess, it could just be a bad set as well. Another thing do you have them always on when the car is on, or do you have a switch? Always having them on could increase the heat maybe, I don't know for sure with these.

My last guess is that the resin covering the halos have a large amount of bromine in the resin, a chemical used to prevent the halo from catching fire. Bromine is naturally brown. When bromine is exposed to UV light for an extended period of time, both natural and man made, it breaks down the molecules to seek out oxygen. (oxidation happens).

I can not justify paying $100 more for a set of halos that could quite possibly do the same thing. TRS will honor their warranty and you will be fine
