I had 22k worth of damage but the adjustor estimated my car worth 33-35k (utter ********) so it wasn't totaled. I argued with the guy on three different occasions. Took 3 months to get my car back and still wasn't fixed right. Had to take it back 3 times for more repairs. Each time I called the adjustor again telling him I didn't want the car back. In the end I lost and just had to sell the car. Luckily I was ahead on my payments so I still came out with my money in my pocket. I moved on to a corvette. Point is, just because it looks totaled doesn't mean it will be. I would have sworn my was a loss and wished it would have. Would be been so much easier. As someone already mentioned, I perhaps wait and see what the next gen brings. That is unless you are dead set on the new NISMO.
