It's very easy. I have bought cars from out of state all the time. You buy the car. Create a bill of sale on Microsoft word (plenty you'll find when you search google). Do transaction with seller (fill out bill of sale). Then have the car shipped to your state(shipping fee is getting cheaper and cheaper. ask any good dealer and they will give you shippers contact). When the car is in CA, go to your local dmv to register and pay appropriate taxes. Remember, you only pay dmv fees and taxes IN THE STATE YOU LIVE IN (not where you buy).
OP, good luck sir. SOrry to hear your situation has been changed and forcing you to move from that fantastic house. But hopefully everything will look up. Good luck with the sale. If you're having trouble selling, I know one place that will sell it within week (it hasn't failed yet when I wanted to sell a car fast). EBAY. May lose a grand or two but it'll be sold asap.
