The importer (Nissan USA) usually negotiates with the parent company for the coming year. They make certain assumptions about the exchange rate projections and price accordingly. Exchange rate differences throughout the year rarely influence retail pricing, but they do influence the profitability of Nissan USA (both positively and negatively depending on which way things are going..)
