LOL. I thought I was tripping when I was reviewing my rear tires and by god I could have sworn the outside ( not inside ) were shallower treads. So you confirm this is how they are, well, they are the same on my 2014 sport tires too.

I am guessing and could be wrong, they made the inner part of the tire thicker to counteract for the normal inner tire wear pattern that these cars get.
