The '03 350Zs had a tire feathering problem. There was even a recall on it where you got a free replacement set of tires if I remember correctly. They fixed it in the later years though.

Having owned both a 350Z and now a 370Z I can say that the 370Z will be leaps and bounds better than the 350Z was at autocross. The wider stance, shorter wheelbase, and revised suspension geometry & components make it handle quite well. I have not tried an autocross with it, but I am confident in my saying that it will be a potent contender in autocross.
