I have experience with an 09... went from ~70000km to 130000km and we had to fix everything. Only thing that wasn't changed was the engine block and pistons.
Mind you the m3 is NA so it's a different beast. I'd definitely shy away from a used turbo BMW.

Totally agree... BMW has an oil change guide at 15000 km... I questioned the crap out of that everytime. Remember what they say about BMW owners and porccupines... take that into consideration when buying it.
