If Lauda went through half the things they showed in his recovery from that accident, you'd have to admire him for his dedication, courage, and passion for his sport. I was just getting into F1 racing as a fan through "Road & Tracks" magazine coverage. At that time James Hunt was doing an article in R&T for them giving his interpretation of what was happening. I knew he was easy going, but didn't realize how much he seemed to enjoy the perks of being a F1 driver. I knew little of Lauda except his Ferrari stint, but now I've gotten a greater appreciation for this man, his skills, and passion for winning. He still shows that today.
