So sorry and very concerned to hear about this situation Pie. We were born with
only two eyes and we need them and for the rest of our lives. I as well
wear contact lens. About five years ago I came down with a really bad eye
infection to the point that the eye was swollen shut. Very painful and had
to take antibiotics for two weeks and could only wear eye glasses during
the healing time needed. I did seek out a local Ophthalmology specialist
whose main emphasis was infectious eye conditions. Many eye infections
are spread bye and attributed with un cleaned and non sterile conditions.
i.e. our hands and fingers come across many forms of daily bacteria's
be it a sink faucet or un cleaned hands and fingers. Always wash your
hands well and disinfect them before putting your contact lens in. And on
the flip side clean your hands well before removing your contacts is most
important step as well. Get better Pie
