I went with my charge pipe the way you did but I did be4 u released your version 2 by about 4 months and my manifold and turbo can charge pipe seats about a inch higher there yours as my kit the sub frame is the lowest point of the car. My charge pipe and turbo don't make knocking noises like ur kit does(3 of ur customers have pm and said publicly) my kit runs a intake off the turbo to behind the bumper. So because I built the same style manifold as you
(equal length primaries)I'm copied you. But I ran anti surge housing first (on the 370z) ran the charge piping first (on the 370z) and 3in charge pipes I copied you....I built ur V2 kit be4 you thought about it...so I guess we share the same style manifold but mine is solid. As for the term mid mount I'm glad u made. Cuz it was it was a great idea. And once I give you props and I'm not trying to start a war but as for the 370z goes I did it my style I know you did somethings on the 350z but that's a different car. Last time I checked I we r on the370z.com and I own a 370z so I think I'm good...I well be releasing this kit once the R&D is done and I talk to AK and being sponsor of this great forum and I well beat your price by 1500 dollars and add a fuel return....as far as people thinking I copied every aspect. There is a million ways to skin a cat I did it this way. I'm sorry I copied a version of ur kit that your that you didn't have out yet...congrats to you being the King of mid mount turbos....but I'm not going away anytime soon..
Hmmm...didn't know about all these apparent problems with my kit.

As far as I know, one customer had an issue with the driver side manifold pipe being very close to the under side of the transmission. I gave him some advice on what he could do, and if that doesn't work he can send the manifold back for repair..at no cost to him of course. I stand behind all my products.

The OEM header bolt holes are about 1/16" larger (diameter) than the studs/bolts, so it is possible that even OEM headers don't sit in the exact same location on each car. It all depends on how they were installed at the factory...and I have seen this myself. That 1/16" can drastically change the placement of the turbo once the manifold bolts up. As a result the manifold has to have a +/- on the clearance tolerances...but of course this type of knowledge comes from years of experience on this particular platform. This means that there is always a small chance that any piece of any kit may be closer to something on the car than the manufacturer intended. There is some free advice for you.

There was another that had the IC pipe issue, but as far as I know that was resolved by adjusting the couplers a bit.

As for $1,500 cheaper...I'd love to see it. If I was to send all my stuff to China and get it build there....I still don't think I would be able to sell the kit for $5,700 ($1,500 less than it is now, as you have suggested) because at the end of the day, it would essentially be a loss.

I am sorry but it is clear that you have never put a complete kit together, and understand the actual cost/time/effort necessary to do so. No offence, but you have to go through the whole process before you start throwing out statements and $ figures like that. Also, remember that I have no overhead AT ALL. No employees, no sales people, no rental space, no extra bills and the price is what it is because it is not cheap to put one of these kits together.

All the little stuff adds up in a hurry. fitting, taps, drill bits, oil lines, thermostat, zip ties, oil filter, oil pan spacer, scavenge pump relay harness, fuel pump relay harness, manual printing, vacuum lines, argon gas (especially when you back purge the pipes like I do), cutting discs...ect.

EDIT: As I am putting these manifold together here I was thinking....if you can build these and sell them for $1,500 less than me, I think we can do business. I will buy them all from you at that price....provided the quality meets my specs of course.
