While the 370Z is arguably a very good bargain, it's still on the expensive side for a lot of people. Plus, without a back seat, it really sucks as a "family car." Some of the newer Camaro/Mustang/Challenger models are in the same price range but they are much heavier (my 2014 Challenger is ~1000 pounds heavier then the Z) and not as agile. The 370 steered, as you put it, like a go-kart; the Challenger not so much. And then there's all the garage queens that only get driven during great weather.
