It will add a very minor amount of wear and tear to the drivetrain but why buy a sports car if you're not going to drive it like one? The occasional blip to the redline (don't hold it there) is not going to do enough damage to worry about. The car has a very strong self-preservation instinct and will, for the most part, ignore harmful commands. Change your oil/filter often and
