southark is on point. theres too many different formulations because of the different metals and materials all the OEM's use, their own formulations will 100% prevent problems such as rusting, clogging... etc etc

Makes sense to me. I use identical fluids except I run Mobil 1 5W-30 for engine oil.

I actually use the OEM coolant. I was just wondering why not use cheap aftermarket coolant. And I got my answer. Some I'm sure are fine, but they're not all the same.
