After the ignition switch debacle, they are getting extremely gun shy. One little thing goes wrong and they want to make sure they fix it before media shoves it in their face. Not a bad thing for consumers.

My daughters car is recalled, but they don't have parts to fix it yet. GM is going to be fixing ignition switches for years.

I would love to have been sitting in on the meeting to stop shipment of vettes.
