You would have to contact DCTMS for a breakdown of their process, but I very much doubt that they would just wrap the new fabric over the old fabric. It is quite expensive, but for a simple re-wrap, not $1000. There is currently an auction on eBay for a wheel re-wrapped in the Nismo style, alcantara sides, leather top and bottom, with a red center stripe, and it is going for $600. My assumption is that a rewrap to all one material would be close to that price. It does replace the entire wheel though. DCTMS will wrap a wheel that they have in stock and then expect you to send your old wheel back, once you put the new one on the car.
