I wasn't arguing about performance differences between trimlines. And comparing a Nismo to M cars is not fair. Nissan has never misled anyone about their intentions with Nismo vehicles in its lineup. They even have press releases explaining what they are trying to accomplish. It does exactly what it supposed to do.
But to say a Nismo is just an expensive sport smacks of jealousy.
As evidenced by this site, many Z owners take expensive steps to make their cars different from the rest. Whether that is a bumper change, intakes, sways, or whatever it is mostly celebrated even with "little gain". Putting a "50th anniversary badge and some stickers" on a car is a gimmick. Totaling up all that a Nismo gives actually makes it a bargain by comparison. Celebrate it.
