Clutch misbehaving when cold...
Hey yall,
Relatively new member here. Had my '09 Touring for about 2 months with 57k on it. I normally keep it in my warm garage overnight but had some things in there so the last two nights I've kept it in the driveway. When starting in the morning (nightime lows in the high 40's low 50's) there is a lot more free play than normal and the point where the clutch engages and dis-engages feels much closer to the floor. This goes away after about 15 mins of driving and then it feels like it usually does. Even after the warm up period when it's working "normally", I still don't be seeming to get much launch simply with the clutch from a dead stop and find myself struggling to keep it smooth from a dead stop. I've been driving manuals for the better part of 15 years but this one definitely seems to require the most attention and effort. Being new to these cars it's hard to say what's normal.
Can anyone point me to some answers/threads/general knowledge about the clutch system in these cars?
Thanks guys!
