My only concerns with an electric are the environmental cost of manufacturing/disposing/recycling the batteries and the monetary cost when they need to be replaced. Since I seldom keep a car long enough to change tires, the latter is not a big concern.
And the fact that if a lot of people go to electric cars the power grid will collapse.
